The Mazda CX-80 has been named the "Best in Class Large SUV" by Euro NCAP following its latest round of safety tests. This award highlights Mazda's focus on safety and innovation.
In 2024, Euro NCAP tested 44 cars, and the Mazda CX-80 stood out as the top performer in the Large SUV category, narrowly beating the Audi Q6 e-tron.
The CX-80 scored 92% for Adult Occupancy, with perfect marks in Lateral and Rear Impact tests. It also received an 88% score for Child Occupancy, ensuring strong protection for younger passengers.
The vehicle earned 84% for Vulnerable Road Users, showing Mazda's commitment to the safety of pedestrians and cyclists. It also scored 79% in the Safety Assist category, reflecting the latest safety features in the car.
The five-star rating is backed by Mazda’s Skyactiv Multi-Solution Scalable Architecture, which improves driving dynamics with a front-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout, and rear-biased all-wheel drive. With three rows of seating, the seven-seat CX-80 is Mazda’s largest vehicle in Europe.
The Mazda CX-80 is now available to test-drive at Windsor MotorMall Galway Mazda.
