Available in Ireland February 2018, the present Nissan LEAF is already the best selling electric vehicle world-wide, selling 300,000 vehicles in 49 markets, and has collectively been driven a total of 3.5billion kilometres without any critical battery incident. The Nissan LEAF has been a key differentiator in the electric vehicle market by bringing Nissan’s unmatched electric battery technology to a true mass market. New Exciting Exterior

A sleek silhouette with a cool ‘tech’ attitude, the new exterior design presents us with a sporty two-toned black and white exterior promising a sharp and expressive vehicle. With the iconic Nissan v-shaped motion grill and dynamic tapering sides the design facilitates efficient driving, and increased capacity, by sculpting through wind and weather resistance. At the rear the tail lamps, rear glass, and wing finishers all combine in one cross-bar movement leaving a strong impression as the car drives away.


Electrification and Intelligent Mobility

Nissan fuses pioneering electric innovation and ProPILOT technology to create an altogether refreshing drive. The main new electrification and intelligent mobility features to note are:

  • A bigger range than ever before – You can drive almost 378km* on a single charge
  • ProPILOT advanced driver assistance system enables a safer, more comfortable drive
  • ProPILOT Park facilitates fully autonomous parking
  • e-Pedal technology allows you to drive and brake seamlessly, and
  • Premium feel interior with technology features will ensure a clean and peaceful drive

  • With regard to the interior drivers and passengers will immediately appreciate the signature vibrant blue stitching in the seats, dashboard and steering wheel and the new look of the 7-inch, full-color (TFT) display. The display’s layout has been redesigned for easier access to key features such as the Safety Shield technology, state-of-charge, power gauge, and audio and navigation system information. In some countries, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto have been added to the infotainment system in cars equipped with the navigation system.


    Nissan Intelligent Power: The e-powertrain

    The focal point of Nissan Intelligent Power in the new Nissan LEAF is its e-powertrain, which offers improved energy efficiency and increased torque and power output for an enhanced dynamic performance. Complementing this new drivetrain is the high-tech lithium-ion battery pack, which delivers increased power and energy storage capacity. Along with enhanced energy efficiency, the new e-powertrain delivers an exhilarating, linear driving performance with a power output of 110 kW. Torque has been increased to 320 Nm, resulting in improved acceleration. Moreover, the new Nissan LEAF’s driving range has been increased to 378 km (New European Driving Cycle) on a single charge.
