Exterior
Big, bold and very classy, the 3008 is an impressive-looking vehicle that comes with an array of eye-catching exterior features as standard, such as 17-inch alloy wheels. The car is eminently practical too, with, for example, wide-opening rear doors that provide easy access for back-row travellers. All models also feature automatic headlights and windscreen wipers that react instantly to, respectively, oncoming traffic and rain.
Interior
The 3008 provides plenty of passenger space, and two full-size adults – or three younger travellers – are easily incorporated into the rear compartment. A class-competitive 520-litre boot space should be more than enough for most purposes but if more cargo capacity is required, simply flip the car’s 60/40 split-folding rear seats to reveal 1,580 litres of load space. You can even fold the front passenger seat to transport longer items.
Performance
Entry-level Active grades are typically fitted with a 1.2-litre 131bhp petrol engine, which manages up to 55.4mpg and 117g/km of CO2. An even more fuel-efficient 1.6-litre 99bhp diesel unit, meanwhile, returns as much as 70.6mpg and emissions as low as 103g/km.
Technology and safety
All models come with DAB digital radio, a 12.3-inch digital instrument display and an eight-inch touchscreen. The latter provides, among other things, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility.
Rated a full five stars by Euro NCAP, the 3008 comes with a plethora of driver aids. These include rear parking sensors, Traffic Sign Recognition and Autonomous Emergency Braking, the latter significantly helping to reduce rear-end collisions. Passive protective features, meanwhile, include a suite of airbags, seatbelt reminders and ISOFIX child-seat mounts to help keep everyone on board as safe as possible.
