Everything you need to know about the grants available for new electric vehicles.

Find out the value of grant available for your electric vehicle, how to apply and what vehicles are eligible. Remember, these grants are only available on new vehicles.

Privately Bought EVs

This grant applies to 100% electric vehicles only. That means only a battery electric vehicle can qualify.

For private EV owners, a maximum grant of €5,000 is available for vehicles that qualify for the grant. EVs with a value of less than €14,000 are not eligible.

Commercial EVs

A grant for electric vehicles for business use is available. This grant is only available to 'N1' category vehicles, so small goods vans and cars with a maximum mass of 3,500kg.

When purchased commercially, a maximum grant of €3,800 is available, although the vehicle must be worth more than €14,000.

Privately Bought EVs
