Ireland's World Cup silver medallist Anna O'Flanagan has joined Windsor Motors as a Brand Ambassador for the Windsor Renault range.
Anna took time out from her Olympic preparations to call into Windsor MotorMall Renault to pick up the keys to her brand new Renault Clio. Speaking of her new role as a Windsor Renault Brand Ambassador, Anna said 'I am absolutely delighted to be teaming up with Windsor Motors as their Renault Brand Ambassador. The All-New Renault Clio looks amazing and it's really going to help me with my coaching role for Muckross and my training for Ireland. This is a massive year for me and to have the support of a company like Windsor Motors greatly appreciated.'
'Anna has shown she and her team mates are at the very top of their game. Their performance in the World Cup in 2018 captured the nations' attention and they put in a monumental effort to beat Canada and qualify for the Olympics in Tokyo.' said Windsor Managing Director, Peter Nicholson.
Further discussing Anna's appointment as Brand Ambassador, Windsor's Director of Marketing, Brian Quinn said 'We are thrilled to have Anna join us as a Brand Ambassador. The Ireland Women's team's success has shown that hard work does pay off and this will hopefully continue to encourage more girls to take up hockey, and sport in general, in the future'.
Anna is not only an inspiration to young girls on the field but off it too, having qualified as a solicitor while also playing Hockey at the highest level for Ireland.
Ireland's Olympic qualification capped off another great year for the Rathgar native, who moved back to Dublin from Pinoke in the Netherlands to train full time with the Ireland team ahead of their Olympic qualifiers. Anna has also taken up a playing and coaching role with Muckross. Anna is also Ireland women's record goal scorer has amassed over 200 caps for Ireland. She was also named player of the tournament in the FIH Series event in Banbridge during the summer.
