A first for the small SUV sector, Nissans Intelligent Mobility safety technologies featuring Cyclist and Pedestrian Detection and Blind Spot Intervention was recognised by Euro NCAP and helped strengthen the New Jukes score.
Praise was given to the New Juke's strength and class-leading accident prevention technology. A high score of 94% for adult protection was achieved thanks to advanced reinforced structures built with high-strength steel, improving rigidity and impact absorption.
Juke scored an impressive 81% on cyclist and pedestrian protection tests. The use of active safety aids, including Intelligent Emergency Braking, anticipates an impact with vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists. This feature comes as standard across the New Juke range.
Life-saving Nissan Intelligent Mobility technologies allowed the Juke to score highly in safety assist tests, recognising that it is better to prevent an accident in the first place. This stepping-stone to autonomous driving will ease the stress of driving and helps keep Juke in lane and at a safe distance from dangers.
Marco Fioravanti, Vice President Product Planning, Nissan Europe commented: “We’re so proud to have been awarded the highest safety rating from Euro NCAP. The use of advanced materials, including high-strength steel, and Nissan Intelligent Mobility technology fitted as standard means we can offer a fun, agile drive with enhanced all-round protection.”
