Gordon D’Arcy Collects His New Opel Insignia

Gordon D’Arcy popped into Windsor Opel last week to collect his brand new, 202 Opel Insignia.

After several years as an Opel Ireland Brand Ambassador, former Leinster, Ireland, and British and Irish Lions rugby player, Gordon D’Arcy also joined Windsor Opel as an Ambassador in 2019, ahead of his work as a panellist for Eir Sports’ Rugby World Cup coverage. After a great first year of working together, Windsor is proud to continue its partnership with Gordon D’Arcy throughout 2020.

Speaking on the past year working with Windsor, Gordon said “it’s been fantastic working alongside Windsor this past year. Their support throughout the World Cup and especially with the launch of my book last year has been amazing and I’m delighted to continue working with them for the foreseeable future”.

Gordon published a book for children called “Gordon’s Game” in 2019, alongside Ross O’Carroll kelly creator, Paul Howard. The book’s launch was supported by Windsor, with book signings taking place with Gordon in our Windsor Deansgrange Opel dealership. The book has been a huge success for Gordon and he’s hoping to write more books soon.

To continue his partnership with Windsor Opel, Gordon visited Windsor Deansgrange Opel last week (obeying social distancing rules and washing his hands on arrival, of course) to collect the keys to his new 202 Opel Insignia. Arriving with a giant smile on his face, Gordon said “I’ve loved driving my Insignia for the past year and I’m excited to keep driving this beautiful car for another year – and you just can’t beat that new car smell”.

We also spoke with Windsor Deansgrange Opel Dealership Manager Alan Furlong about working with Gordon this last year:

“Gordon’s been a terrific ambassador for Windsor Opel and we’ve loved working with him. Launching his book in Deansgrange was a great day. He’s really passionate about rugby, and his work with children both as an ambassador for Barretstown and his recent children’s book. We’re excited to work on future projects with him”.
