Former Leinster, Ireland, and British and Irish Lions rugby player Gordon D'Arcy has joined Windsor Motors as a Brand Ambassador for the Windsor Opel range.
The Grand Slam and three-time European Cup winner has been a long time Brand Ambassador for Opel Ireland and joins Windsor ahead of his role as a panellist for Eir Sports rugby World Cup coverage. Gordon was delighted to be continuing his association with Opel while also teaming up with Windsor. Speaking at the launch of his Ambassadorial role, Gordon said 'I've been working with Opel for a number of years now so I'm aware how great the product is. Windsor approached me to continue representing the Opel brand and it made sense to work with Ireland's leading car retailer'.
Speaking of Windsor's partnership with Gordon, David O'Toole, Windsor's Head of Finance and Insurance, said 'It's great to have Gordon here in our newest Opel Dealership, Windsor Deansgrange Opel. Gordon represents everything we stand for, he has successfully represented his country and his province, is entrepreneurial, is incredibly charitable and is focused on the future'
Outside of Rugby Gordon also runs Form School, a reformer Pilates studio with his wife Aoife and is a brand ambassador for Barretstown, the children’s charity that helps rebuild the lives of children affected by serious illness and their families.
Gordon will be picking up the keys to his 192 Opel Insignia in the coming weeks and he is already looking forward to test driving some new Opel models over the coming months. ‘The all-electric Opel Corsa-e is coming out soon and Windsor have promised me the chance to test drive it for a while, so I am really excited about dipping my toes into the EV segment’ said Gordon.
