The 2022 Mazda CX-60 is here. This is Mazda's latest offering in an impressive range of premium family vehicles and boasts plug-in hybrid technology to create an impressive power output and equally as impressive fuel economy!
It looks amazing too with Mazda's Kodo design language evident throughout, creating a premium, modern SUV.
The plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrain combines Mazda's well known 2.5L petrol engine with a 100kW electric motor and a 17.8kWh battery. This creates an astonishing 323 horsepower which is the most powerful road-going vehicle Mazda has ever made. When you need to get the kids to school on time, this SUV is no slouch.
It'll get to school in silence too, as the CX-60 will travel 63 kilometres on battery power alone. Once depleted, the petrol engine will fire up and work in tandem with the electric motor as a conventional hybrid system.
There's more coming soon too as Mazda is promising hybrid six-cylinder petrol and diesel options too, along with all-wheel drive.
Inside and out, the CX-60 oozes quality. The cockpit is stacked with premium textiles and quality wood finishing which wrap around a widescreen infotainment display. There is plenty of cubby compartments for your belongings and high-quality switches control the air conditioning and infotainment system. A wireless phone charging pad sits underneath the centre console.
There is lots of space too with room for three adults in the back along with ISOFIX mountings for the little ones. The boot space is an impressive 570 litres meaning there is plenty of luggage space for family road-trips.
The CX-60 is striking to look at but it is also packed with industry leading technology to keep its occupants as safe as possible on the road. Mazda Driver Personalisation System supports the driver to automatically adjust the cabin to suit their preferences and a 360 degree monitor enables all-around visibility. Kinematic Posture Control aides road handling and cornering stability.
