Since 2014, Renault has been extensively testing the use of hydrogen technology and has made significant breakthroughs in development. The new vehicles will now be equipped with a range extender fuel cell which provides electric and thermal power of 10kW. This will allow an amazing increase in driving range of up to 350km in the Renault Master Z.E. Hydrogen and the Renault Kangoo Z.E. Hydrogen.
That’s not all. This new, advanced hydrogen technology will allow rapid fast charging in just 5 – 10 minutes. This breakthrough will benefit professionals with long distance travel needs.
The Renault Kangoo Z.E. will be the first LCV to boast hydrogen power. The updated van will have the best real world range of any other electric van on the market with an outstanding range of 370km (WLTP). Load volumes of 3.9m3 remain despite an additional kerb weight of 110kg.
Expected worldwide in 2020, the Renault Master Z.E Hydrogen will triple it’s range from just 120km to 350km (WLTP)! Available in two versions, van and chassis cab, the Master will be equipped with twin hydrogen cells mounted within the chassis and the vehicle will benefit from this with no compromises on load volume of up to 20m3.
