Windsor expands with acquisition of Agnelli Motor Park
Windsor is expanding as Ireland’s market-leading retail motor group with the acquisition of Agnelli Motor Park which is one of the largest and most well-known family-owned motor dealerships in Dublin.
Agnelli Motor Park has been in operation since 2004 and recently moved into a state-of-the-art premise on Airton Road in Tallaght. It has been successfully run by Michael Kerslake who has now stepped away from the business.
Windsor has retained all fourteen employees and has plans to grow the business, create new jobs and maintain and develop its high standard of customer sales and aftercare service as the main Peugeot and Suzuki dealers in south-west Dublin.
The dealership has been renamed Windsor Airton and the newly opened premises include modern showrooms, an AfterCare Workshop with 14 work bays to provide quick and efficient service, a dedicated outdoor Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) display area, and a 90-vehicle forecourt.
“We are delighted to acquire such an established business, to strengthen our existing relationship with Peugeot and to add such a distinguished car brand as Suzuki to the growing range of car brands that Windsor sell and service,” said Peter Nicholson, Managing Director of Windsor.
Windsor has embarked on an ambitious growth strategy which has been underpinned by its successful MotorMall concept which brings multiple car brands together under one roof. The wide range of car brands that it offers now includes, Nissan, Renault, Dacia, Opel, Peugeot, Mazda, Citroën and Suzuki.
“Suzuki has ambitious plans to grow their market share in Ireland and we are excited to help them to realise that objective by continuing to broaden the choice of vehicles that we offer our customers. Today’s customers are seeking a choice of brands, value and expert advice under one roof and this is what sets Windsor apart,” said Mr. Nicholson.
“Windsor is long-established in south-west Dublin thanks to the Windsor Belgard dealership on Belgard Road. We are delighted to expand our footprint in the area with the opening of Windsor Airton and to extend the consistently high level of sales and aftercare service that we offer our customers so that they can drive happy,” he added.
Windsor is now one of the biggest Peugeot dealers operating in the Irish market and the new Windsor Airton dealership sits alongside its existing Peugeot dealerships in Airside, Clonee and Drogheda.
Windsor is significantly experienced in working with franchise manufacturers to grow their market share and in helping independent franchise retailers who want to step out of their business and become part of a larger retail motor group to make that transition and meet the associated legal and regulatory requirements.
