Windsor drives to success with Ireland’s Best Managed Companies Award

Windsor has been named as one of Ireland’s Best Managed Companies in recognition of the innovative practices it has introduced to better serve its customers and to set itself apart in the Irish motoring industry.

The well-known motor company was one of just 25 companies to be named as a winner in the Ireland’s Best Managed Companies Awards Programme for 2021 having entered the prestigious awards programme for the first time.

Entrants to the programme compete for the designation in a rigorous process that evaluates the calibre of their management abilities and practices together with their business strategy, capability, innovation, culture and financial performance.

The awards programme is led by Deloitte Ireland, in association with Bank of Ireland. It is the only awards scheme of its kind on the island of Ireland that considers business performance from every perspective. Windsor is also one of just 139 companies to ever receive the award in Ireland.

“Windsor is delighted to be named as one Ireland’s Best Managed Companies. Everything that we do at Windsor is focused on delivering the best service to our customers and this award is a validation of the practices that we have put into place to achieve that goal,” said Peter Nicholson, Managing Director of Windsor.

Windsor is an authorized dealer for Nissan, Renault, Dacia, Opel, Peugeot, Citroën and Mazda. It is also one of the biggest sellers of used cars in Ireland and the rigorous Windsor Certified programme that it operates allows customers to buy with confidence and to enjoy peace of mind.

“Our business strategy is focused on pioneering new concepts in car retail, such as the Windsor Motor Mall at exit 5 off the M50, which provides Irish car buyers and owners with extensive choice, service and convenience at one highly accessible location,” said Mr. Nicholson.

“Our rapid growth and strong business performance is also the result of an innovative business strategy to develop EV and LCV hubs and multi-brand dealerships in tandem with an online sales platform that allows customers to fully finance, buy and trade-in a car from the comfort of their home,” he continued.

Windsor was a pioneer and prime mover in online car sales in Ireland, investing over €1 million in the development and launch of its online sales platform in 2018. Its foresight was a key factor in helping the company to successfully navigate the challenges that confronted the car industry during the Covid-19 lockdowns.

The company has also experienced buoyant demand for Windsor AfterCare servicing and repair. Demand is at its highest at Windsor MotorMall where it has 16 work bays servicing all car brands with convenient 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. weekday opening hours.

“Our success in being named as one of Ireland’s Best Managed Companies is also an endorsement of the culture of professionalism and high standard of customer service that exists throughout the business. Our skilled technicians, retail advisors, customer care and administrative staff are committed to excellence and to providing customers with the best service and experience,” said Mr. Nicholson.
